DC United, Charleston Battery to meet in US Open Cup final

DC United, who defeated the New England Revolution 3-1 in their semifinal matchup, will host United States Soccer Leagues’ first division side Charleston Battery in the U.S. Open Cup championship match on Sept. 3. The Battery defeated the Seattle Sounders 2-1 on penalty kicks in the all-USL semifinal in Charleston, S.C.
