LA Galaxy are richest MLS club–Forbes

The LA Galaxy, who have arguably been one of the worst clubs in Major League Soccer on the pitch this season, are the league’s richest organization. So says Forbes magazine in its first study of MLS finances.

The rankings according to Forbes:
1. LA Galaxy
2. Toronto FC
3. Chicago Fire
4. FC Dallas
5. New York Red Bulls
6. DC United
7. Houston Dynamo
8. Colorado Rapids
9. Real Salt Lake
10. New England Revolution
11. Chivas USA
12. Columbus Crew
13. Kansas City Wizards

The San Jose Earthquakes were not included in Forbes’ study because no data were available on the expansion club’s finances from last season, upon which the study is based.
