Aberdeen FC manager Mark McGhee appears to have conceded defeat in the club's attempts to sign Stuart Holden, Sky Sports reported Thursday.

There should probably not be any dispute with the choice of Nick Rimando as MLS Cup MVP. Perhaps not if we were to name him "playoff MVP" as well. It took penalties but Real Salt Lake prevailed over the LA Galaxy Sunday night at Qwest Field in Seattle, winning their first MLS Cup title in their first appearance in the title match. RSL goalkeeper Nick Rimando was the hero once more, saving two penalties and deservedly winning the 2009 MLS Cup MVP.
