Chad Marshall will return to the Columbus Crew next season after signing a new contract with the 2008 MLS Cup champions, the club announced Friday, Dec. 26. The 24-year old defender was out of contract and spent a week-long trial with Mainz of the German second division while negotiationing with the Crew.
Marshall had four goals in the regular season and two more in the playoffs, including the winner against New York on Nov. 23 in the MLS Cup that gave Columbus its first title.
Crew fans, how do you feel about your title defense chances now?
