The U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team defeated Switzerland 5-0 in its second Group D match at the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup as forward Sydney Leroux scored three times while Kristie Mewis and Zakiya Bywaters also added goals. The USA heads into its final Group D match against the Korea Republic on July 21 in Bielefeld (12 p.m. ET on ESPN2) needing a win or a tie to advance to the quarterfinals. The U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team kicked off its run at the 2010 CONCACAF Women’s Championship with a 6-0 victory over Jamaica at Estadio Cementos Progreso in Guatemala City. Christine Nairn and Sydney Leroux, who were both part of the team that won the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, each scored a brace. Teresa Noyola and Tiffany McCarty added one goal apiece.
