Union to face Manchester United, July 21st

Posted on 06 May 2010 by Breton Bonnette

The Union will face Manchester United at Lincoln Financial Field on Wednesday, July 21st, 2010 at a time to be determined.

Seeing as it’s right after the World Cup in South Africa, we probably won’t see a full squad from United but you can expect some very significant names to be lining up against the Zolos. Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Edwin Van der Sar and many others. In order to accomodate the game, the league will move a fixture that would have seen the Union away at Colorado on July 21st. Details on that to come.

It will NOT be part of the season ticket package due to the fact it’s a joint venture between CAA, SUM, and Lincoln Financial Field. All Founding Members, however, will get a chance to purchase tickets in advance – a window starting today and ending Sunday, May 9th, 2010. So take a look at the price structure below and get buying:

$225 – Field
$135 – Row 1
$110 – Club 1
$85 – Club 2
$85 – VIP Midfield
$65 – Midfield
$50 – Sidelines
$35 – Corners
$30 – Endzones

It will be the Red Devils 2nd stop on a four game tour that lands them eventually in Houston to take on the MLS All-Star squad.

What do you think of Glazer-owned United coming to Philadelphia? Think it will be a packed house?
