Galaxy remain undefeated and more MLS midweek news

The LA Galaxy looked like the home team for the first half hour at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Wednesday night, creating chances, earning corner kicks, and ultimately scoring the lone goal of the game to beat the Colorado Rapids.
Still, Rapids head coach Gary Smith saw a lot of positives from his team’s performance. “To come out in the second half and dominate the way we did showed a lot of character in the group,” he said. Pat Shea reports from Colorado and supplies player ratings for both sides.

Without Shalrie Joseph in the line up for the fourth straight game, the New England Revolution have gone from a team full of youthful promise to a side that has much to learn. On the final game of a three game homestand, the Revs lost 0-4 to visitors Chivas USA. Hank Alexandre reports from that match.

In the nation’s capital, DC United got their first MLS win under Curt Onalfo, as Danny Allsopp notched a brace in the first half. The Kansas City Wizards got one back in second half injury time but it was too little, too late. Steve Long reports from RFK Stadium.

More reports on the way so check back soon!
