TFC, Rapids to play two

Posted on 05 September 2009 by Mahmoud Shoblaq

Robinson's health may hold the key to both games

Following the draw against Seattle, Toronto is desperate for points as they play against the Colorado Rapids in their next two games.  These matches are critical for both teams in the home stretch of the regular season. TFC is aiming to achieve their first ever play-off birth.

Carl Robinson
is questionable with an ankle injury and Amado Guevara is away on international duty; everyone else is available for selection.

If Toronto’s performance Saturday is as strong as it was against Seattle they may guarantee themselves the three points. But consistency has not been part of Toronto’s game.

Colorado has been in very decent form the past few weeks, yet with a few key players missing, Toronto may just have the advantage this weekend.

These matches are expected to be entertaining as both teams are fighting for every point in the final weeks of MLS play.

TFC keeper Stefan Frei won his second MLS Save of the Week honors for his performance in Seattle which guaranteed Toronto the point. The rookie continues to impress with his great performances and will play a major role in TFC’s future.

Previous three MLS results for each team:
