Real Madrid C.F. set for showdown with the Union at the Linc, stars in tow

Posted on 22 July 2011 by Breton Bonnette

The Union will face world soccer giants Real Madrid tomorrow night without their leading goalscorer in international friendlies for 2011, academy player Christian Hernandez.

Sarcasm folks  but it’s the truth!

Hernandez and any players not under contract with the Union will have to sit this one out as Real Madrid visits for World Football Challenge play. Los Merengues arrive in Philadelphia welcomed by incredible heat but satisfied with their earlier performances, a 4-1 win over Los Angeles and a 3-0 shutout, courtesy of a Cristiano Ronaldo hattrick, of Chivas de Guadalajara. You can expect a strong, starting lineup consisting of eleven of the players below. Anyway you really look at it, it’s world class. What are you prediciting as a Union fan? Will the three goal deficit trend continue for Real Madrid opponents or will the Union give them a run for their money?

Take a look at the names the Union will be hosting tomorrow night:
